WHY OUT WEST?

Now...you may be shaking your head wondering why out west?  Strap in...I’ve got a lil’ story to share.  The GM of Urban Rec Wollongong = Lindsay.  Lindsay is American and has grown up around American Football – from going to NCAA college games in her hometown of Eugene, Oregon (GO UO DUCKS!) to following her NFL team, The Patriots (c’mon...no brandwagon fan here, she lived in Boston ¾ of the year from the age of 9...), to volunteering as an Athletic Training student for the University of British Columbia and Florida International University to working for the CFL team BC Lions to now (finally), volunteering with Northern Sydney Rebels for the past 2 seasons.  Needless to say, this lady has a passion for the sport.

So...when the West Sydney Pirates and Nepean Ducks reached out asking about helping to host a Flag Gridiron tourney our west, she jumped at the opportunity to share the love of the sport.

WEST SYDNEY PIRATES:
The West Sydney Pirates field teams in both the Division 1 (over 19's) and Colts (15 to 19 year old) competitions in the Gridiron NSW League. 2020 marked the Club's 35th Anniversary season making it the 3rd oldest Club in NSW and one of the most established Clubs in the country.

NEPEAN DUCKS:
The Nepean Ducks field teams in Men’s and Colts (16-19) Competitions and looking to field a women’s team again in 2021 In the NSW Gridiron League.  The Ducks enter their 8th season (formally the Penrith Chiefs/Outlaws from 1993-2012) and 28th season overall for the Penrith / Nepean Club
