More About Urban Rec Wollongong
Urban Rec Wollongong was founded in 2 years ago with a goal to make sport more fun, accessible and inclusive for the average person. We are passionate about delivering professional and organised leagues and tournaments, and also instilling the camaraderie, friends, laughs, good times and the active lifestyle that all happen by being part of team sports.
We have hundreds of players who get involved each week all across Wollongong to play in the spirit of friendship, fairness and a thirst for good-hearted competition.

Our Basketball leagues are a lot more relaxed than your regular competitions. One step up from pick-up ball with all the fun of an organised team sport. We don’t do stats, benchtime, or anything like that. It’s perfect for someone who is looking to play Basketball in a very relaxed, non-pressured environment.

Multisport is a great way to incorporate variety into your physical activity. Each week you will play a different sport with your team and rotate through Soccer, Dodgeball, Hockey, Handball, Touch Football, Basketball, Flag Gridiron, AFL, Oz-tag, Volleyball and Netball. If you are indecisive or get bored playing one sport quickly then this is the sport for you. Each week the basics of the sport will be explained and demonstrated for you so that everyone has the same base level of understanding.
