WAHHHOOOOO! You’ve registered for a sport, now what?! Here’s all the info you need to understand about starting and playing with Urban Rec this season.

📆 REGISTRATION DEADLINES
We want to share social sports with as many people as we can, so we do our best to keep registration open as long as we can. That said, we have leagues that sell out, so be sure to register ASAP to avoid FOMO! In order to release schedules in a timely fashion, registration will usually close 5 business days prior to the start of your league.
⏰ SCHEDULES SENT OUT 72 HOURS PRIOR TO THE START OF THE SEASON
Our goal is to send out your schedule at least three days prior to the launch of your season. If this is not going to be possible, Urban Rec HQ will send you an update email so you are in the loop! Once the league is scheduled, you will receive a ‘schedule change notification,’ and you’ll be able to login to your Urban Rec Member Profile to check out when your team will be playing! Please note that the time your team plays can vary each week, so be sure to login to your account regularly for the most up to date version of your schedule!

When your league is scheduled, we will post up all the sweet deets you need, including info about theme week and pub night!
👨👩👧👦 MEET YOUR TEAM EMAIL SENT OUT 72 HOURS PRIOR TO THE START OF THE SEASON (for individuals’ teams)
When your league is scheduled, your League Manager will send you a message to introduce you to your team! You will meet in person at the 1st game, and from there, you will be able to select a team captain and decide the best way to communicate with each other.
👕 INDIVIDUALS’ TEAM SHIRTS DELIVERED TO YOU AT 1st GAME
If you are part of an individuals’ team, guess what!? – you get a team tee! You will receive your team shirt on the first day of the league. The shirt is yours to keep, so feel free to customize it however your heart desires!
🍻 OUR CLUBHOUSES HOST THE BEST POST-GAME SOCIAL TIME
After your games each week, we invite you and your team to head over to one of our sponsor clubhouses for some post-game shenanigans. Many of our clubhouses give discounts and/or specials to Urban Rec members, so be sure to bring your member card, and check out Member Perks for more info!
🎭 URBAN REC THEME WEEKS
We’re all about the fun at Urban Rec, so what better way to not take things so seriously than some old school fancy dress theme weeks?! Theme weeks are fun and silly, but your team can actually win prizes too! We change our themes every season, but have no fear! – your League Manager will send you updates!
📅 RESEEDING WEEKS
Some of our leagues (depending on the number of teams in the league, league structure, etc) may be reseeded partway through the season. Urban Rec has a ‘No Finals Policy,’ so this is one way we try to level the competition during the season.
🎉 SOCIAL EVENTS
Throughout the year, we organize amazing social events. Think music, themes, fun points, challenges, scavenger hunts, mix-and-mingling, smiles, laughter and all the joys of being a kid with the perks of being an adult. Our events are a fabulous way to try something different with your friends and meet players from other sports too!
🏆 SEASON ENDER PRIZES
Absolutely. At the end of the season, we love to award you! The most FUN team will receive a sweet prize – usually from one of our clubhouses or partners – and the team coming top of the table in standings will receive champ singlets!
